B&B Water / Wastewater Consultants Inc. is one of the longest standing certified drinking water labs in the state of Michigan. We are certified to test for Total Coliforms and E. Coli in Microbiology (commonly called a bacteria test) and for Nitrate in Inorganic Chemistry. These two tests are probably the most common requirements for real estate transactions and monitor requirements for places that serve the public. We can also provide you with bottles for a variety of other drinking water samples for analysis at the Michigan DEQ Drinking Water Lab. Drinking water samples are accepted Monday through Thursday from 8:00am – 4:30pm and Friday from 8:00am – 12:00pm. No appointment is necessary, walk-ins are always welcome! Sample bottles, sampling information, and instructions are provided free of charge to our clients. Results are usually available within 24 hours. All results are reported directly to our clients for confidentiality. , but we are more than happy to forward the results to another party (state/county officials, realtors, banks, etc.) at our clients request. In addition to drinking water, we can also help you with the testing of wastewater samples in accordance with approved EPA Methods. This requires prior arrangements. Fecal Coliform, Total Phosphorus as P, Ammonia as N, pH, Dissolved Oxygen, Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Carbonaceous Biochemical Demand (CBOD), Total Suspended Solids and Volatile Suspended Solids are among the most common testing requirements and can be performed in our lab. Our on-staff certified operators can also help you with running and maintenance of your systems, collection of samples, and your reporting requirements.
